About Some People

Each student will be expected to develop and produce a piece for a new web-based project called Some People. The structure for the website is that an individual or collaborative team selects one person (residing in the Bay area) who they find compelling, but who is not well known and is not trained as an artist. They will then spend time with that person and develop a web-based documentary about them. The documentary can take any form or combination of forms that are presentable on the web—video, sound, image, text, etc. The website will be open to anyone else in the world that wants to take part and is willing to follow the basic parameters that the project sets forth.
